MY WORK

This piece was recorded using logic9 in the recording studio at ljmu's art and design academy.I feel this has led to a higher quality soundscape with a clearer overall sound. I have decided to look at sound and duration in relation to space and to look at the possibility's of sound being a sculpture rather than an audio file i will be thinking about this when setting up my installation. I'm also interested in the relationship between digital and ambient sound and how that can effect each other.I will be exploring the properties of the wine glass as an object that makes sound and looking at the range of sound that can be produced and how it manipulates sound when used as a speaker.The wine glass has subtle sociable connotations that will hopefully get people interacting with my installation.
The pre-recorded track will still maintain the surreal elements i was using in my last piece.The installation itself will be a very interactive piece that involves the viewers participants. The piece will be split across two rooms. One room will be set up with two speakers playing my recorded sound it will also have lots of wine glasses and a few dynamic microphones that will require the viewers interaction to record the sound that will be feed through a live feed to another room, where the sound being produced by people playing with the wine glasses will come through a wall piece that is essentially a wine glass speaker that will be virtually silent unless you place your ear close to the glasses. Depending on the way up the wine glass is on the wall installation will effect the overall sound.
