Never records is located on seel street almost hidden opposite the sound exhibition, is more of a record store than an installation, set up on the sociable idea of a record shop and it completely abandons the retail side. The Liverpool store is a replica/continuation of a project with No Longer Empty, where the artist created the record label never records in an abandoned Tower Records store in New York City. The idea is to invite artists into the store and give them the opportunity to perform live and to record. Then there work will be added to the shelves for other music enthusiasts to listen to.

I personally think it’s a great idea to get a sociable place for artists, musicians, poets ect to go and hang out/exchange stories in a very laid back atmosphere. Although this installation may not directly link to my work I feel it has helped just to talk to people there to get a few ideas going about potential ways of recording that will give a surreal effect.
