STOCKHAUSEN

Stockhausen is a German composer who is known for ground breaking work in electronic music and serial composition. I was initially led to Stockhausen because of my research into serial composition, this was a technique i had been using in my own work to gain a slightly more surreal feel to my piece. I then started to become more interested in ambient and noise music rather than having any real structure to my work. I have been listening to and researching some of his recorded pieces in order to gain a better understanding of noise music.
