Roots Exhibition

The Roots exhibition at corke gallery was put together by four fellow LJMU fine art students and consisted mainly of there 2nd year work. The exhibition drew in a large crowd and was constantly busy during the opening night. I got to the exhibition quite late due to missing my stop on the bus (not at all my good friend kits fault) on the way there which was a major annoyance but this meant as i arrived the exhibition was already underway with a good atmosphere and discussions about the art on display taking place. None of the art on show disappointed and i felt that all the art seemed to be not directly linked together but yet complimented each other well within the space.
The majority of the art work was up for sale. I purchased one of reubens pieces which was one of many little envolopes that had a mini doodle on the front and inside the the envolopes were a sweet and some wisdom.
The Roots exhibition was a good display of interesting visual art that consisted of a wide range of art such as drawings, video, installation and photography.
